On the playground: "Griffin just taught my son a new technique. And the word "technique."

On life: "The three most important things in life are Love, Fun, and Gravity." Hard to disagree with that.

On the bike

Griffin: "How come some people get two and some only get one?"
Me: "One what? Sister? Sibling?" (We just found out that our neighbor was pregnant with her 3rd girl)
Griffin: "Yeah."
Me: "Well, babies are a lot of work, and I already have enough work,"
Griffin: "I can help. We can have another baby, and you can take care of one, and I can take care of the other one!"

On behavior

Tom: "Okay, I have to go to work."
Griffin: "Daddy? Daddy? Just be good and don't hit anybody, okay?"
Tom: "Okay."
Griffin: "Just be gentle all day."

Lessons

Griffin, in deep, dark frustration:
"I lost my great idea out of me!"

The Dawning

Earlier this week:
"When I grow up, my nibbles will get bigger and I can feed Duncan."

Later this week, in the car:
"Girls [something something] better bwestes."
"What?"
"Better bwestes."
"Right, better breasts. What about them?"
"BETTER BWESTES!"
"Are you saying that girls have bigger breasts?"
"Yes! That's where the milk comes from. That's what I already TOLD you!"

Questions about latte-drinking remain

Overheard today at Starbucks in Palo Alto. Three seriously non-palo-alto working men.

Man 1: Did you hear the union is backing Obaraka?
Man 2: Obama.
Man 3: Oburqa.
Man 1: What do you think about that?
Man 2 or 3: That's fine.

How's that for an endorsement? Hillary, eat your heart out.
